What Our Riverside Parts Department Stocks
We stock routine maintenance items for immediate pickup: oil filters, engine and cabin air filters, wiper blades, and brake pads. Specialized components come through the General Motors parts network.
Ordering online is simple. Search by part number, confirm fitment with your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), and choose local pickup.
GM Genuine Parts vs. Aftermarket Parts
GM Genuine Parts and ACDelco Original Equipment are built by General Motors to factory tolerances for fit, materials, and electrical compatibility. Aftermarket parts are built by independent companies to fit many makes and models. That is where fitment gaps and sensor errors appear.
Warranty Coverage by Part Line
Coverage is the clearest difference, and it varies by line. Terms below are published by GM Parts.
| Part Line | Limited Warranty |
|---|---|
| GM Genuine Parts OE, ACDelco OE and Gold | 24 months / unlimited miles |
| Select OE and Gold lines: chassis, radiators, shocks, struts, wire sets | Limited Lifetime |
| ACDelco Silver: brake, chassis, wiper | 12 months / unlimited miles |
| GM cataloged engines, transmissions, transfer cases | 3 years / 100,000 miles |
| Chevrolet Performance crate engines | 24 months / 50,000 miles |
| Chevrolet Performance transmissions | 12 months / unlimited miles |
Coverage includes parts and labor when a GM dealer installs the part, and parts only when someone else does. Cataloged powertrain assemblies also cover labor when a qualified independent service center installs them.
Aftermarket Parts and Your Factory Warranty
Aftermarket parts do not automatically void your factory warranty. The Federal Trade Commission requires a manufacturer to show that a specific part caused a failure before denying a claim. But damage traceable to a non-OEM part is not covered.
This information is provided for general educational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Warranty coverage depends on the specific terms of your vehicle's warranty agreement. Consult your owner's manual or a qualified legal professional for guidance on your individual situation.
Chevy Maintenance: DIY vs. Certified Technician
Some jobs need only factory parts and hand tools. Others need factory diagnostic equipment.
| Safe to Do Yourself | Leave to a Certified Technician |
|---|---|
| Engine and cabin air filter replacement | Internal engine repairs |
| Windshield wiper blade installation | DFM cylinder-deactivation components |
| 12-volt battery replacement and terminal cleaning | CVT fluid service |
| Exterior bulb and lamp housing replacement | High-voltage EV systems |
| Floor liners, cargo trays, bed protection accessories | Fuel injection service |
| Emblem replacement and touch-up paint | Brake hydraulic bleeding |
When a job crosses that line, schedule service with our technicians.

Chevy Parts FAQ
How do I know a replacement part is authentic?
GM builds three markers into its packaging: color coding and graphics, an OE flag on Original Equipment parts, and a global security label verifying the part as GM-authentic. A part number alone is not proof. Inspect the packaging, watch for near-miss brand names, and treat an unusually low price as a warning sign. Buying from an authorized dealership is the surest safeguard.
Are Chevrolet accessories covered by my vehicle warranty?
Per Chevrolet, accessories installed before you take delivery are covered under the applicable new vehicle warranty. Accessories installed after delivery are covered for parts and labor for the balance of the applicable portion of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, and in no event less than 12 months or unlimited miles. Accessories sold over the counter, or not requiring installation, receive a 12-month parts-only warranty from the date of purchase. GM Licensed and Integrated Business Partner accessories carry the accessory manufacturer's own warranty and are not warranted by GM or its dealers.
What happens if an aftermarket part damages another system?
If a non-OEM component fails and damages surrounding engine, transmission, or electrical systems, GM may deny coverage for those components. Installing aftermarket parts does not void your warranty on its own. The manufacturer must show the part caused the failure.
